Guilty pleasures
It's one of those nights where I'm lazy, uninspired and silent all in the same breath. And the only thing left to do is nothing. Blame it on the way we've been brought up, sitting around and wasting time is seen as a sin. I for one believe so. But tonight, I gave in to temptation anyway and chose to do the one meaningless thing that would add no value to my life. I watched TV. More specifically, I watched Mraz's Live on Earth concert - a gift from Hil which has been lying idle in my drawer for the past three weeks. And like all of life's great ironies, the evening's guilty pleasure, my one meaningless activity, turned out to be more valuable than I'd have given it credit for. And two hours later, the curtains came down with me feeling rested, rejuvenated and alive. All that's left to say is, never underestimate the power of music.
