London Day 0.5

So, I'm in London now. It's slightly past mid-day and you must be wondering why I'm spending time blogging instead of exploring the streets and doing the stuff tourists are supposed to be doing. Well, maybe it's really an age thing cos Hil and I spent less than three hours outside and our legs are now aching like mad. They must have hired someone really tall to do the google maps walking time estimation becos it certainly didn't take us 5 mins to walk to Harrod's from our hotel.

Anyway, the weather rocks. It's hovering around 20 degrees me thinks, and I'm glad I brought my coat here. (I initially thought it would be weird wearing a coat in late spring but turns out everyone's wearing one too).

The 14-hour flight was a killer. By the seventh hour, I was bored. Managed to catch some of the Oscar selections like Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Revolutionary Road. The former was really long and draggy, but I don't like stopping a movie halfway so I forced myself to finish it. Revolutionary Road was awesome; Leo & Kate deserve praise for their outstanding performances and I have half a mind to watch it again on the way back. I also watched Bride Wars for my daily fix of brainless entertainment. But seriously, they don't stock up on enough chick flicks for the in-flight system. Like totally retarded. And lastly, I caught Last Minute Harvey - which was a waste of time.

So we'll be heading out again now to do some shopping along Knightsbridge before going for our afternoon tea appointment. Well to be fair, we did cover a significant distance this morning. Went for mass at 10am, then a visit to the V&A and National History Museum (Zzzz...) and did some shopping at Harrod's, etc. The shopping district here is so comprehensive that your nose will bleed just looking at it.

Will be back with pics later! Tata!
