Big. Three. Round.

I've never been one to boast about my mahjong conquests (not on my blog at least. Hahaha...) but this I gotta share.

My first time getting a Da San Yuan! Literal translation: Big three round. For all you non-mj players, that means getting a set of hong zhong, bai ban and fa cai in the same game. You can imagine my excitement when I opened my tiles and saw a pair of each! The worst part was having to keep a poker face when my heart was pounding like crazy. But luckily I left a note to self: In order to pull off a victory, I had to keep my composure.

So I started by pong-ing the bai ban and kang-ing the hong zhong. With these revealed, no one would dare to throw the fa cai anymore because there's a risk of bao-ing for the other two kakis if I actually won. Hope was bleak and fading until I drew a cat, a mouse, and then...a fa cai!

That's some freakin' MAN TAI ZI MO action...

It's a little difficult to explain if you don't know the game but it's almost like winning the jackpot. And just like that, I went from zero to hero. =)
