When words just ain't enough.

Should I be insulted or touched to receive a cake like this from my colleagues? When they walked into the office and presented it to me, I seriously thought they got my birth date mixed up. But truly, I'm moved by their gesture. The cake was uber-yummy. And they did take those words right out of my mouth - considering I finished my last exam in Nov 2007.

That's me, in my gra-joo-ation gown (hil owns copyright to that word). It's so uncomfortable and I hate wearing it. Goes well with pearl earrings though. Anyway, the ceremony was so boring I almost fell asleep, but somebody tripped on stage in classic Mediacorp drama style while walking towards the dean and that woke everyone up. Poor fella. What a way to remember convocation day.

This photo cracks me up. Blackie (the rabbit) was hopping around happily in Sol & Theresia's home while we were working on G! and when we turned around some moments later, we realised that he had marked his territories in more ways than one. What can I say? Shit happens.

If you take the train to work from AMK MRT, go to the last carriage on the side heading towards town and you'll find this uncle doing his morning exercises. As you can see, he's there, rain or shine...stomping on the grass so much that it has left a trail of bald patch.

I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing this man, Mohd Yunus, a Nobel Peace Prize winner, banker and economist, famous for the successful introduction of microcredit in Bangladesh, which literally brought millions of Bangladeshi out of poverty. Talk about making a difference to the world.

One of the best things in life is finding someone who loves you and wants to spend their life with you (don't worry, we're not lesbians). Congrats MJ, on your recent engagement (although I think LC must be blind, hahaha...) and thank you for this special friendship that we have.

Joey! My shamelessly inspiring friend came back from Shanghai for a short visit and he had the privilege of meeting me for breakfast one day. Yes, he has since returned, and although our meeting was brief, (and I hate to say this knowing that he's grinning in arrogance over at the great firewall of China), he did leave an impression and inspired me deeply.

And look what's coming your way this weekend? Better attend mass in CTK this Sunday. While stocks last!
