My Resolutions 2007
Yeah, yeah, this is almost one month late, but still, better late than never. It's like buying a new diary. Got to think carefully before buying one because you'll be stuck with it for a year.
Here goes...
- The art of learning
If you know me well enough, you'll know that my maths sucks. It takes me great pain (and time) to even add 8 & 9. This year, I shall improve on my maths. Well obviously, I don't expect myself to be a walking calculator before the year ends but I will try to manage the basics. It's a useful skill to have when I'm out shopping, especially with the 7% GST hike, I'd better get my act together before my pockets start having holes again. Apart from maths, I'll brush up my Eng-rish skills as well.
- The pursuit of exercise
I used to exercise to keep fit but this year, I think I gotta exercise to stay slim. In the last two months, at least 10 people have said that I've put on weight and although I know it's a good thing, considering how skinny I was, I have to keep it under control before I balloon to kilos of no return. Can feel my blood vessels lined with fats. Eeks.
- The gift of patienceThis is the hardest resolution by far. With the world going so fast, there's always a tendency for us to go even faster. Patience for me, has been a difficult thing. When the person in front of me hogs the right side of the escalator, when my computer is slower than it should be, when my colleagues are annoying the shit out of me...I must learn to breathe deeply, take a moment out and pray.
- The spirit of adventure
This one's a shared resolution with Hil. At least once a month, we will try going or doing something different from the norm. Sky-diving, snorkelling, fishing maybe...Just kidding lar. We're not that adventurous, but then again, why not? Hmmm...
Wish me luck!
