The story of my life

Hi fellow earthlings! Its been awhile since I last blogged, so here's a quick update:

University
After much deliberation, I've finally registered myself at SIM: Bachelor of Arts in Comm Studies & English Language. It's a part-time degree course which will take two years to complete and a lifetime to save up for. $16k to be exact. I'll be taking a study loan from Maybank. Hope I can make ends meet. Such a bitter sweet feeling...

Dentist
I finally had some works done to my fast-decaying teeth. Wasn't as painful as I imagined it to be but still...having the drills coming into contact with my delicate teeth leaves nothing short of a tingling-deja vu experience. Burns a hole in my pocket too. One down, 4 more visits to go. *sigh*

Shoes
I managed to sell a pair of shoes online for $50. And bought two pairs of slip-ons the very next day for the same price. Hmmm. I wonder if it's a good thing...

Lunch at Furama
Was at a working lunch with some colleagues & doctors yesterday at Furama Riverfront. Apart from the boring meeting details, everything else was to die for. Ok, mainly the food, which was sumptiously sinfully mouth-watering. Best part - It was free. You ought to go there for a buffet lunch if you have time and money. Not convinced? Here are some of the highlights - Sashimi, satay, tempura, buah keluak, clam chowder, baby octopus, Penang laksa, chocolate fondue, ice cream with assorted toppings. Yum yum...Ha...

Doctors
Still on the topic of yesterday's lunch...No offence but boy do these docs fit perfectly into their stereotypes. They crack jokes that are so erhm, funny...listen to symphony in their car and talk about ketamine/schizophrenia/herpes (Zzz...) while eating. There are of course, some exceptions to this weird breed of mankind, like the doctor who drove me there (in his Tuscani). He is a very eligible bachelor at 40, sings really well and goes for overseas mission trips to treat poor patients. He recently won the healthcare award too. Any takers?

Contest results
And the winner of the Dark Chocolate contest goes to.........RACHEL! Congratulations for being the lucky one out of hundreds of thousands of participants! (Jac didn't win this cos she has gotten far too many free t-shirts already, but nonetheless, she'll get a free chocolate =P

It's Friday!!! Don't drink and drive, and be nice to animals.
