Post-mortem

It's finally over.

I started talking about it ever since primary school. For the past few years, I've toyed with the idea of holding a dinner & dance at a hotel. Hmmm...too expensive. Wanted to have it on board a cruise ship. Ha. Even worse. I'll have to live on bread and water for one year. Ha. There was, however, a period of time when I was so sick and tired of these 'gimmicks' that I thought of not having a birthday celebration at all.

I'm glad I did it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known...

Every moment of it was perfect. I'm glad the actual event turned out a whole lot better than what I expected. I'd like to take this time to thank the following people, without whom my birthday would have been totally meaningless.

To Hil...Thank you for all the lovely surprises. For helping with the chalet's admin matters - The music, the entertainment, the photography, etc. Thanks for the 21 presents! I love each one of them...especially the video and the 'dedications'. Thank you for making my special day a whole lot more special. You mean the world to me...really.

To my parents for giving birth to me and showering me with unconditional love and support all these years. I love you!

To my (big extended) family...I'm sorry for not being there as often as I should. I hope you guys will understand that most of the time I'm absent, I was doing God's work. Having said that, I'm thankful for your continual support and love showered upon me. I really appreciate your help at the chalet.

To my close buddies...Maria, Martin, Vin, Cass...With whom I've shared so much. You guys are such a big and important part of my life and I don't know what I'll do without you. Special thanks to Ma-Liah...for the lovely decor!

To MPM...For adding vibrance, laughter and God into my life. Thank you for bringing out the best in me.

To those people whom I never thought bothered so much about me...Aloysius, Rachel, TM, James, Geri, Michelle, Addison, Aaron. You guys made my day a whole lot brighter.

To my school friends...Lorraine, Nicole, Nelly, Audrey, Sabrina, Joey, Melvin...Thank you for your presence at my party. It means a lot to me. Although our journey in school has ended...I'm glad our journey as friends hasn't...

To Iggy and Nick, thank you for helping to capture the wonderful memories of my birthday. And Ben ben, thank you for being my presents coordinator. Always on standby to help me collect my presents. Hee...Oh ya, I'm really touched that you wore your only striped shirt, even though it looks a little too formal for the occasion. Thanks to Oliver too, for faithfully helping me with the 'guestbook' all night! Thank you Aaron, for helping with the photos *ahem*..."I'll be watching you..."

Thanks to all who made the extra effort to dress in stripes! (Even those who had fake, removable stripes...) Means a lot...

Although everything's over and done with, the memories that I have will always remain with me. So once again, a big THANK YOU to everyone who has made the day a special one for me. Through you, I've experienced God's amazing and generous LOVE.
